Dan talks with musician and memoirist Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast. Zauner's "Crying in H Mart" appeared on the New Yorker site in August 2018 to great fanfare. A memoir-length version will be published by Knopf next year. Zauner was a student of Dan's at Bryn Mawr College, and they talk about their work together, her work as a director, sing-songwriter, and all-around polymath powerhouse.
